Postponed: Talking about fiction and AI ethics
My talk about fiction as a means to teach AI ethics scheduled for late April in the AI Ethics Seminar that is ongoing at Chalmers has been postponed due to the covid-19 campus closure. It will be rescheduled for the autumn, and a brief description follows.
Artificial intelligence is an important developing area of technology, but how can scientists and engineers keep ethics in mind? I will talk about the ways that fiction serves as a useful springboard in this endeavor -- and I will point out some of fiction's other benefits for those in scientific and technical fields.
